Hubs A hub is used to connect several computers together. In a message handling service, a number of local computers might exchange messages solely with a hub computer. The hub would be responsible for exchanging messages with other hubs and non-local computers.  It can be as simple as having only four connections allowing for four computers to be connected to it, or as complicated as a managed hub, which can monitor activity, traffic, and utilization per port or computer connection to the hub. |
